What's in a name?

I just read an article today on marketing.  For instance: what do you think of when you hear the name JetBlue versus United Airlines.  Your first impression of JetBlue is probably exciting with no limits, where as United Airlines probably instills a sense of security and experience.

So here's a discussion for you.  All feelings aside, what is your first impression of the name "Kristy Music Studios?"

  1. Hey dear! Well, my brain wants to read it as:Kristy's Music Studio, for some reason. It's a fine name, but if you're seeking a name with creativity, this one does lack some pizzazz. However, you may prefer a more standard, easy-to-remember name. Kristy Music Studios is easy to recall, and students may identify this name as a business where they can receive personal, one-on-one guidance, opposed to a more flashy, competitive music place.

Most importantly, this "name" should reflect YOU and the message you're trying to get across. Use what's most comfortable. :)Oh, and once clients get to know you, the name won't matter so much. They'll just love you as a person and teacher!
